Quality, Durable Options for Tooth Crowns in Gosnells
Dental Crowns are custom made tooth-shaped “caps” that are placed over broken or damaged teeth to restore them to their former glory. Crowns will restore the shape and integrity of a tooth and improve its visual appearance.Â
Our dentists offers beautiful, quality crowns that can help you keep your smile healthy for years to come.
Depending on the tooth that needs to be treated, most crowns are made of durable porcelain materials. The exact colouration and shape of the crown mimic the appearance of other teeth so that it blends in with your smile.
When Are Crowns Necessary?
Some of the most common situations where a crown may be needed in place of a filling include
- Reinforcing a tooth that has been treated with a root canal, due to the brittleness of the enamel
- Replacing a larger, older filling that is beginning to leak or crack
- Covering a tooth that has a large area of decay
- Preventing additional trauma from grinding and clenching
- Serving as a cover over dental implants

What ShouldI Expect?
Most crown treatments take about two visits to complete. First, our Gosnells dentist will remove the damaged portion of your tooth, so that only healthy structure is left behind. Next, we will take an impression of the tooth and then cover it with a temporary crown.
We use the impression to have a custom crown created in our lab. About two weeks later, we will remove the temporary crown and bond the permanent one into place. before you leave, we might make any minor adjustments to the crown, to ensure a comfortable bite that maintains harmony with your other teeth.
